Even better!Everything is homemade and they seem have their own pride of all these foods. I never doubt it at all. Especially the fish taco was just melted in my mouth. y’all whoever traveling South Padre must visit here. Amazing.

Portion of meat for pastor tacos was horrible. $9 for barely any meat. Had to combine pastor from 5 tacos to get 2 regular size portions. Photos attached. Hispanic couple that came in after us received regular amount with their tacos. Waitress was very nice. It's a shame they treat paying customers that way.

Really liked this place. Party of four and we all got something different and enjoyed it. I got the 5 pork tacos for about 5.99. My wife got the Blackened fish tacos and there were very flavorful. Some of the best fish tacos we've had. Chips and salsa was good especially with the four hot sauces some of which were pretty spicy 🌶. Highly recommend giving it a try even just for the tacos. 😃 happy customers.Tips: Ask for their hot sauce/"salsa" it comes in squeeze containers and is very good and has some spice 🌶. They also have vegetarian options.

Blackened fish tacos are off the charts good. Classic beans and rice to pair. The service is very friendly as well. I was quickly recognized with a warm smile and nice conversation on a return visit. The servings of horchata are LARGE. A great value. The prices are well below the value you receive. Best tacos on South Padre Island!

This restaurant was okay, but not great. The blackened fish tacos had a lot of drizzle sauce on them, but it wasn't that tasty. The fish was okay, but we were disappointed as we were looking for something tastier. The quesadillas were okay, but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall we were expecting more and left disappointed. The staff was pretty friendly though and there was a steady stream of customers which is a good sign.

I came here with buh expectations since Yelp recommended this restaurant to me. The guacamole had almost no taste, neither salt was put in nor lime. I think the avocado was mixed with a ready mix. The ceviche was unfortunately far from the ceviche I eat at other authentic Mexican restaurants. Half of the bowl were onions with a few shrimp in there. The lemon juice was completely drained and salt was missing here too. If I pay $12 for a ceviche, then I expect a ceviche and not an onion bowl with a side of shrimp. Decoration is cute tho and the waitresses friendly.

Goodplace for mexican food, vegetarian options suggested were good (tostadas, enchilada and quesadillas). Weekly specials are a hit, Friendly family owned and cosy place on main street. Cons: the cheese quesadillas were quite dry and less flavor. Cash only and 2% on credit cards came as a surprise.

Shrimp tacos were delicious. A very small restaurant. Good service and good price.

This place is small but very good. The food is delicious and the service is great. It is family owned and operated. The owners take great care to make sure the food is made right the first time. Would definitely recommend this place.

Great little restaurant. Tasty food. Inexpensive. Lunch for 2 of us was $21. Good quick pleasant service. Best restaurant of the five (Los compares, meatball cafe, painted marlin, Ceviche Ceviche and the brewpub) we tried on the island. Had the fish tacos and the Fish Veracruz. The fish tacos were Sea Bass. Four sauces. The habanero sauce made my head sweat. Thr green and red Jalapeno were pleasant. Not a fan of mole, so no Comment on that. They have $5 specials from 3-7pm. Wen back a second time... Se experience.. Fast service, good food.

I wish I lived closer so I could come here every day! The fish tacos are amazing. Came in a large group and they took great care of us. Service was friendly and attentive. Orders were all perfect. Their flavored lemonade drinks are a refreshing delight.

I got the plate the waitress recommended and it was amazing! 2 beef enchiladas, one crispy taco, and a chalupa. Service was also fantastic.

Chillito Pikin became our go to restaurant during our month long stay on SPI. The blackened fish tacos are excellent. The shrimp fajitas can easily be shared by two. The enchiladas verde are the best we had on the island. The Charro beans are delicious (you might be tempted to drink the juice). Service was fast and attentive. The restaurant itself is welcoming and tidy. Prices are definitely reasonable. Be sure to check out their daily lunch specials. Muchas Gracias to the owners and staff.

Definitely underrated and overlooked. Small place but it is 100% authentic. My Hispanic husband couldn't stop telling all.of his family members about this place. The fish tacos were the best I've ever had. Get the fresh lemonade!! The rice and charro beans are amazing....I was stuffed but kept wanting to eat it was that good.

Loved my food, I got the chicken chipotle ranch sandwich (regular size, but so massive!). I got it to go, so the sauces made the bottom half of the sandwich soggy by the time I got to my hotel but it was great nonetheless! Very flavorful and tastes great even the next day!

The food was pretty good... BUT! Make sure to bring cash with you because they will charge you 2% of the bill to use a credit/ debit card and not tell you until it’s time to pay! Don’t expect to get chips and salsa unless you are willing to pay for them. Don’t come if you Are trying to have have an alcoholic beverages because they don’t have any. Also make sure to sip on your drink because you will also pay for your refills. I’m just surprised we didn’t have to pay for straws, to go ware, and napkins!

Girlfriend and I were wanting to try Mexican and glad we came here. Generous portions and very tasty tacos. I also liked the sandia agua fresca drink. The presentation of the food was also impressive. On first glance, I would have thought this place was just another hole-in-the-wall, but there's something special here. Locals eat here too! Plenty of food for the price and attentive service. Definitely worth the trip.

This place is a keeper! Friendly staff and great food! The blackened fish tacos are heavenly. Chicken fried chicken is very tasty along with everything else I have tried. You will not be disappointed!

Best Mexican food on the island! We ate there a number of times during our stay, and the food was fantastic! Fish tacos were my go-to (and they will also cook your catch, if you bring it in) People are very friendly and while this place would not be the only reason to go to SPI, it would definitely factor into my decision ;-)

Food was delicious. Only problem was we didn’t get tortillas for our fajitas on the takeout order, and they were closed when we realized it...but the food was great!

One of a kind. Ask for the virgin guacamole. They will laugh. The blackened fish tacos were wonderful.and the aged pineapple drink on my goodness.

Food was disgusting I found a hair in my rice and everything tasted reheated. They close at 7pm but won’t let u come in at 6pm and say they are closed. Small amounts of food and highly over priced. Food tastes like they heated up a frozen meat from HEB😂🤣-4 stars

Came here a while back and it was horrible. When we asked the server about portion sizes for the torta, the server said it was for 1 person but it turned out to be big enough for 2 people. The fajita was also disgusting and did not taste good at all. Would not return here

Excellent service and food, employees are very attentive and friendly. My tacos were absolutely delicious! The place is small but very cozy and friendly. We ordered tacos with corn tortilla 😋. If you like Mexican food this place is a must go while on South Padre Island.

This place is exactly what I was hoping it would be. I ordered the blackened fish tacos, which turned out to be some of the best I’ve ever had. Waitress was top notch as well.

This place is a true hidden gem. If you're visiting the island and are sick of eating at beach bars, and also are craving some true Tex-Mex/Authentic Mexican food this is your spot. If you want to go the traditional route, you can do that. If you want a giant torta with Philly steak toppings you can go that way too. The place seemed to be filled with mostly locals which is always a good sign. Service was friendly and attentive. I would say the only thing worth noting that might turn some away is that they do not serve alcohol. So you might want to drink a couple of Dos Equis before you get here if that's your thing.
